The College of the Bahamas hosted a Film Festival (February 24-27 2010) celebrating the life of Sidney Poitier. There was a minor controversy mainly arguing whether or not he was worthy of this recognition. Do you feel as if he deserves this honor?

A gross scene- Could you believe these Calderon Dolphins have been killed by human beings? This occurred in Feroe Island in Denmark.

Wow - these are famous and intelligent Calderon Dolphins. They are friendly and get near to men, simply to play and interact. When do you think a human crosses the line of being civilized to uncivilized? It is believed that some young people of Denmark did this destruction to these dolphins. Apparently, this act in their culture proves that they are mature. What a pity!

This dolphin is left to die in its own blood for no reason. It was not causing any harm to this island neither mankind but just for human pleasure they killed hundreds of these dolphins that are already near distinction. How does this picture make you feel?

Will the government really bring back hanging? According to the Tribune, the last hanging was in January 2000 and now ten years later, the government is taking steps to have Godfrey Sawyer executed! Do you think the Bahamas is ready for the death penalty to be carried out again? This MAY be a solution to our crime rate and other issues we are now being faced with.
